New system set to secure the future for beef producers

AUSTRALIA - A new National Livestock Identification System will take effect from July 1. The introduction of the national system to replace the current identification scheme is designed to provide a whole-of-life traceability scheme for Australian cattle. The ear tags and rumen boluses(tagged in the stomach) will retail at $3.50 each plus GST, with the latter to be priced slightly higher.
