PDFA to Introduce Pure Milk in Punjab

INDIA - With a view to provide pure milk in the state, Ludhiana based Progressive Dairy Farmers’ Association (PDFA) and US based Progressive Dairy Solutions (PDS) will launch 100 per cent pure milk under the brand name, La Pure in Punjab.

The dairy firm will use latest technology to milk the cattle and process and store the milk.

As per an estimate, 68 per cent of the milk produced in the country does not meet the set standards.

Speaking on the launch, Daljit Singh, managing director of PDFA said, “La Pure promises completely unadulterated and untouched milk and milk products. It uses the latest technology to milk its cows and also to process and store it.”

“We implements health management systems to ensure healthy cattle and a safe product,” Singh adds.

PDS will provide various farm management services and nutritional products to optimise milk production, reproduction and the growth of strong and healthy calves, Singh said.

PDS on its part has tied up with Belgium based CID Lines for clean milk solutions, France based Olmix for the prevention of animal diseases and Germany based Berg and Scmith for animal health and protection.

In India, Punjab is one of the major cattle breeding states.
