DFC names Annie AcMoody as incoming chief executive
Veteran dairy economist to take helm in February 2026
Dairy Farmers of Canada has appointed Annie AcMoody as its next chief executive officer, effective February 9, 2026, according to a press release.
AcMoody has spent more than five years with the organisation in progressively senior roles, contributing to policy, economics, trade and sustainability initiatives. She brings nearly 20 years of experience in dairy-sector policy and economic analysis and holds a master’s degree in agricultural economics. Her professional background includes work in both Canada and the United States.
"We are thrilled to welcome Annie as DFC's next CEO," said DFC President David Wiens. "Annie's strategic insight and subject-matter expertise will be valuable in supporting both the dairy sector and DFC's membership. Her inclusive leadership style will also be instrumental in continuing our culture of open collaboration."
AcMoody will succeed Lucie Bérubé, who has served as interim CEO since April 2025. The board credited Bérubé with maintaining stability and continuity during the transition. She will return to her previous role as chief operating officer and continue working with AcMoody.
