The average price for the raw milk dropped for the sixth consecutive month in Brazil, according to a recent market report from Cepea

From September to October, values dropped 4.3%, to BRL 1.9675/liter on the net “Brazil Average” calculated by Cepea.

Between January and October, milk value declined 24.8%.

The downward trend, which began in May, is still related to increased domestic supply of dairy products and to the high volumes imported.

The Cepea Milk Production Index (ICAP-L) rose 1.4% from August to September. Data from Secex shows that Brazilian imports increased 26.1% in October.

From January to October/2023, imports totalled 1.8 billion liters, 77.4% more than the volume registered in the same period last year.
