United States to Allow Bone-In Beef from Canada

US - The U.S. Department of Agriculture announced that Canada might resume exports of bone-in beef to the United States so long as they come from cattle under 30 months of age. Shipments of t-bone steaks and other cuts that include bone from younger cattle are permitted immediately. Live cattle from Canada and beef from animals older than 30 months have been banned since last May after BSE was detected in a cow in Alberta.
