US beef producers angered by mad cow threat

US - A group of US beef producers says Canada isn't doing enough to make sure it stays free of mad cow disease. Last week R-CALF successfully sought a federal court injunction to postpone the reopening of the border to Canadian cattle. President Chuck Kiker says allowing Canadian beef into the US poses a threat to cattle producers and consumers. "The USDA, I hate to say, has been haphazard; I mean they're rushing into this without making sure of a lot of things.
