First BSE case of 2005

BRUSSELS – A cow from an 18 animal herd on a farm near the Belgian town of Dottignes has been diagnosed with 'mad cow disease', it was confirmed on Tuesday. The discovery marks the first case of Bovine Spongiform Encephalopathy (BSE) to be detected in Belgium this year.
