Feeding colostrum immediately after birth is not optional. Rather, it’s a requirement to ensure that calves receive the immunity provided by immunoglobulin G (IgG). Without it, both morbidity and mortality in calves can be high. The goal is not just to feed colostrum, but to consistently feed colostrum to achieve passive transfer of immunity. Recent research indicates that we need to up our game when it comes to ensuring healthy calves through passive transfer. This requires the right combination of quality ingredient and product innovation.

Tune in as Dave Cook, technical services manager for Milk Products, and Adam Geiger, research nutritionist – dairy and colostrum, for Zinpro Corporation, share the keys to achieving passive transfer in calves.

Webinar: Raising the Bar on Passive Transfer Thursday, 18 June at 1:00 p.m. Central time.
