Uruguayan Foreign Minister Rodolfo Nin Novoa described this as another link in the growing relationship with China, the country's main trading partner, as well as 'the sum of a shared effort of the public and the private sectors.'

Nin Novoa referred to the national signatory of the agreement, the Conaprole cooperative, whose President Alvaro Ambrois in turn described it as very important and representing 'a work of many years.'

Meanwhile, the executive of Yili Group, the leading Chinese dairy company, Zhang Jianqiu, visiting this capital for the signing of the document, valued the deepening of bilateral trade links and said that 'we have much to do in the future.'

In a press interview, Ambrois stressed that this agreement takes place in a context in which Brazil does not show the dynamism of former years to import Uruguayan dairy products.
