Since the referendum, AHDB has focused efforts on providing vital insight to the industry at this time of uncertainty through its Horizon series of reports, Now during Brexit360, a series of live panel broadcasts hosted by AHDB, farmers were urged to look at the potential effects on their business sooner rather than later.

Jack Watts, AHDB Lead Analyst, commented: “At an individual business level, I cannot emphasise enough the importance of taking stock now. There’s a lot of uncertainty so getting ready for Brexit is not going to be easy and it’s very easy to just absorb yourself in the day job.”

“You need to ask the fundamental questions about what the business is here to achieve and really drill down to identify opportunities and understand how realistic objectives are. If the expectations are difficult now, it’s going to be a lot easier to prepare for different scenarios and tackle them while there is time to think.”

Over the three broadcasts, a host of guests looked back over the last year and shared understanding on key issues including trade, labour and farm policy that have dominated Brexit discussions since last year’s referendum.
