Imported feed link in BSE outbreak
WALES - Scientist are investigating cattle feed supplies after a "cluster" of three BSE cases was found in young cows. Experts are trying to discover if the Friesians, from a dairy farm in Pembrokeshire, were infected by imported feed. It is the first time three cases born after 1996 have been linked to one farm. Alan Morris, spokesman for the Farmers Union of Wales, said the cluster was unlikely to affect consumer confidence in beef, now at it highest since the mid 1980s.Source: icNorthWales
