Impact of Adaptation of SAA on Milk Market to be Assessed

30 January 2017

BOSNIA & HERZEGOVINA - Producers and processors of milk met with Minister of Foreign Trade and Economic Relations Mirko Sarovic to try to find a common solution to the negative effects that this sector will feel after the adaptation of Stabilization and Association Agreement (SAA) come into force.

The conclusion of the meeting is to work together to solve the problem and alleviate the consequences.

“The meeting was attended by a total of nine owners of dairies and we had a very useful and constructive meeting. We talked about the system of monitoring and management quotas that will enter the country duty-free. Cross of the impact of adaptation of the SAA in the market will be made in mid-year. We are cooperating with dairies without any problems and it will be like that in the future as well,” said Minister Sarovic.

Dairy owners are also pleased with the meeting although they will be under the greatest impact, but they are hoping for a solution.
