The online survey, available here, has been devised by leading experts at Edinburgh’s Moredun Institute and closes on 31 August.

The survey aims to assess the perceptions around wormer resistance and the channels used to acquire products by pig, cattle, sheep and horse owners.

Professor Jacqui Matthews, parasite expert at Moredun, said: “What we hope to do is get a picture of the level of farmer knowledge and their experience through a survey which should take no longer than twenty minutes.”

Around 400 responses have been received so far, with an ambitious target of 500 set for next week.
