Tunisia Reports 26 Outbreaks of Foot and Mouth Disease

TUNISIA - A total of 26 new FMD outbreaks were reported between 6 and 23 June, affecting 93 cattle and 31 sheep.

The veterinary authority sent Follow Up Report No.6 dated 1 July to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE).

The report describes a total of 26 new outbreaks of FMD between 6 and 23 June in the north and east of the country.

In total, 187 cattle, 342 sheep and 72 goats were affected, with 93, 31 and five animals, respectively, showing symptoms.
