Mexico to Strengthen Cattle Health and Traceability Systems
MEXICO - The National Service of Health, Food Safety and Quality (SENASICA) and the National Confederation of Livestock Organizations (CNOG) are working together to design the mechanisms that will lead to a stronger traceability system, mobilisation, certification origin and health of cattle herds in the country.

During the regular meeting of the Board of the Confederation, the chief director of SENASICA, Enrique Sanchez Cruz, emphasized the importance of working together to improve systems of certification of origin, mobilization and public health actions in order to be more competitive and boost sector development.
The good practices already used by meat producers reassures Mexico's trading partners, strengthening the potential for meat exports, with a significant boost in trade with Asian countries.
In this context, the new rules of operation of the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock, Rural Development, Fisheries and Food (SAGARPA) is guaranteed to be more efficient and transparent.
In the coming days, CNOG and SAGARPA will sign an agreement of collaboration.
