Improving Milk Production in Colombia, Funding Agreed

COLOMBIA - The Ministry of Agriculture and partners have agreed to improve milk production and quality in the Savannah of Bogotá and Ubaté Valley.

The project will benefit 3,500 producers, with a total of 2.2 million pesos being spent.

The money will be spent on knowledge transfer, looking at demonstration farms and the establishment of pastures and forages, silvopastoral systems, good farming practices, improved systems for dairy cattle nutrition, managing production costs and stregthening dairy supply chain partnerships.
