Cattle Medicine Under Investigation
AUSTRALIA - The Federal Government's chemical regulator says there's a possible connection between a medicine given to cattle and the death of stock in NSW.

A property manager says 16 head of cattle died after he gave them a capsule to treat bloat, which can be caused when animals eat lush pasture during spring, reports
ABCRural.
The company producing the capsule, Elanco, says it's investigating the deaths but doesn't believe it's responsible.
Susan Whitbread, from the Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority, says up to 20 producers have complained about the medicine.
"The range of reports that have been received aren't about what we would call strictly an adverse experience," she said.
"So, in this case, there does appear to be, and we have said, there is a possible causal connection."
