Jolley: Harkin hits Johanns on the BSE issue
US - As the politics behind BSE continue to grow and fester, Sen. Tom Harkin, D-Iowa, posed four questions in a letter to Agriculture Secretary Mike Johanns. Harkin’s good friend Sen. Mark Dayton, D-Minnesota, wants to take it a step farther. He’s asked that the Senate Ag Committee convene a formal hearing, summoning Johanns to discuss the USDA’s new livestock testing program and answer even more questions from lawmakers, many of whom will be seeking a stage to show off for the folks back home.Source: cattlenetwork.com
