French and Greek Products Protected
EU - The European Commission has added three names of agricultural and food products to the list of protected designations of origin (PDO) and Protected Geographical Indication (PGI).

Beef Vendée and Pork d'Auvergne from FRance have been granted PGI status and the Greek cheese "Xigalo Siteias" has been listed as a PDO.
The three names have been added to the list of over 1,000 products already protected under the legislation on protection of geographical indications, designations of origin and traditional specialties.
