Mongolia Reports One New Outbreak of FMD
14 September 2010MONGOLIA - The Mongolian veterinary authorities have reported a new outbreak of foot and mouth disease, affecting cattle.
The World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) received follow-up report no.1 on Saturday, 11 September.
According to the report, a total of seventeen cases were identified; all affected animals were destroyed. The outbreak occured at a farm in Dornod.
The source of the outbreak has still not been determined.
