Farm Manager Jacques du Toit started production on the state of the art N$80 million farm in February.

The milk is sent to Namibia Dairies, which owns a stake in the farm, for final production.

However, according to a report on All Africa of the 2,000 cows at the farm only 850 cows are currently being milked three times a day.

Mr Du Toit expects the farm to be at full capacity within three years, All Africa reports.

The construction of additional milking stalls to accommodate more cows is in progress.

The milk stock currently consumes 30,000 tonnes of fodder that is produced on the farm, which employs 55 workers, a month.

President Hifikepunye Pohamba is expected to officially inaugurate the farm on 26 August.
