Japan likely to lift beef ban by year end

TOKYO - Japan's imports of U.S. and Canadian beef are likely to resume before the end of the year, based on an analysis by the Expert Committee on Prions, a sub-group of the country's Food Safety Commission (FSC), released at a meeting Oct. 4.
