Cattle Futures - Live Cattle Flat-Higher

US - CME live cattle ended flat to higher on spot April maneuvering ahead of its expiration on Wednesday, June/August bull and August/October bear spreads and sharply higher CBOT corn.

Beef futures chopped around for most of the session, stirred by June contract traders who digested Friday's cash cattle price results versus selling spurred by front months' overbought chart conditions.

Live-basis fed cattle last week sold at $92 to $93 per hundredweight, which was $2 to $3 above the previous week's trade.

Also, some in the pit again tried to drive August and October to seasonal highs. On the other hand, a few players regarded August's and October's runups to fresh contract tops as a sell signal.
