USDA's Johanns And USTR Portman Welcome Lifting Of Beef Ban By Thailand
US - U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Mike Johanns and U.S. Trade Representative Rob Portman welcomed Thailand's decision to lift its ban on most imports of U.S. beef. "I commend Thailand officials for reopening their market to U.S. beef and recognizing that it is among the safest in the world. It is now time for Japan, South Korea, China, and other Asian markets to follow suit. There is no justifiable reason for borders to be closed to U.S. beef," said Johanns.Source: USDA
