Fonterra sets final milk payout at $4.46 per kg
NEW ZEALAND - Dairy giant Fonterra Cooperative Group Ltd has announced its final milk payout for the 2006-07 season will be $4.46 per kilogram of milk solids (kg/MS).

There was speculation that Fonterra's $5.53/kg forecast payout for the current season could rise to more than $6.60/kg.
New Zealand Dairy Farmers vice-chairman, Lachlan McKenzie, says farmers will not receive the full payout until August next year.
He says the advance payment they are currently getting amounts to little more than $3/kg.
