The workshops will outline practical on-farm management techniques to improve the performance of feedlot destined store cattle, and increase returns on investment.

Queensland venues are: Warwick on August 28; Jondaryan on August 29 ; Miles on August 30; and Goondiwindi on August 31.

Qld Department of Primary Industries (DPI&F) senior extension officer, Roger Sneath, said these workshops follow four very successful workshops of the same format, held in Victoria during September 2006.

New South Wales and Queensland producers will now be provided with the same opportunities.

Hosted by Certified Australian Angus Beef (CAAB), DPI&F, Keenan Systems, Kerwee Feedlot and Angus Australia, the workshops are designed to allow beef producers the opportunity to learn and gain insight into preparing animals for the feedlot market.

Producers will also have access to products essential to preparation for the feedlot market including: animal health supported by Merial, and finance supported by Suncorp.
