The test results demonstrate that Sunwin's Xuyikang Disinfectant was successful in preventing uninfected mice from acquiring the virus through the eradication of 100% of the Foot-and-Mouth virus in infected mice that were treated within 30 minutes under room temperature. The tests results indicated that Xuyikang was most effective in a diluted ratio of 1:100.

Foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) is a severe, highly communicable viral disease of cattle and swine. It also affects sheep, goats, deer, and other cloven-hoofed ruminants. FMD is one of the most difficult animal infections to control.

Laiwang Zhang, President and Chairman of Sunwin International Neutraceuticals, commented, "Because the disease occurs in many parts of the world, there is always a chance of its accidental introduction into China from common import/export activity. Because livestock animals in China are highly susceptible to FMD viruses, any outbreak could spread rapidly throughout the country by routine livestock movements. Early detection and eradication can mean the difference between a small contained problem or an economic impact that could reach into the billions of dollars."
