Milk Auction Prices
UK - United Dairy Farmers' April auction for deliveries starting in May 2007 produced the best prices (for this time of the year) seen for many years. Prices for one-month contracts rose by 2.33ppl compared with March auction prices and were 3.74ppl more than year earlier prices (see table below).

These higher prices reflect not only the continuing rise in world prices for WMP in particular and other commodity products in general (some of which are at record levels) but also display a confidence that these prices will continue to hold for several months at least.
