ENGLAND - Final results from the December 2006 Survey of Agriculture for England (Cattle focus) are given in the following table, together with comparative figures for 2004 and 2005.

Between December 2005 and December 2006, the total number of cattle and calves decreased by 3%. The dairy herd decreased by almost 4% while the beef herd increased by 3%. Total other cattle and calves decreased by almost 4%.
