Milk price - NFU pressure pays off
UK - Dairy farmers are set to get a fairer deal with the news today that Tesco has increased the purchase price of liquid milk.

Unconfirmed figures from Tesco have stated that the increase averages 1.3ppl at retail level across all formats and pack sizes. Tesco are passing 1ppl increase back through their two liquid milk suppliers Arla and Wiseman's.
The announcement follows months of careful campaigning and lobbying by the NFU and other organisations
