Lithuanian dairy processor looks to Russia.
LITHUANIA - The Vilkyskiu Pienine dairy processor in Lithuania says it plans to strengthen its position on the Russian market and resume its exports to Ukraine, according to Baltic Business News.Gintaras Bertasius, Vilkyskiu Pienine's CEO, said that although the Russian dairy market is highly competitive, dairy consumption there is increasing due to the rising purchasing power of consumers.
This rise in consumer demand is taking place at a time when Russian dairy producers are increasing their production only slowly, said Bertasius.
He added that this year is offering more favourable opportunities for export to Russia.
