Mad-cow battle gets $92.1-million boost - Government announces five-year plan to increase number of animals tested

OTTAWA and EDMONTON - Canada is drastically hiking testing of cattle for mad-cow disease to at least 30,000 animals a year from about 5,500 today as it works to rebuild shattered international confidence in Canadian beef.
