Meat prices not gouging as much as you think

CANADA - After allegations the meat packing industry is profiting from the crisis created by mad cow disease, some cattle industry players say some costs are not being considered in the figuring.
A recent report says the difference between what packers are paying for cattle and what they're getting when they sell the meat to a distributor has led to speculation they are boosting profits at the expense of farmers and consumers.
