Ban on U.S. beef eased

US - Mexico is the first major U.S. trading partner to resume beef imports after receiving assurances from the United States that the beef is safe. Mexico, the second-biggest buyer of U.S. beef, said it will resume some imports and ease a two-month ban the country imposed after a case of mad cow disease was discovered in Washington state.
