New Zealand dairy farmers heading for another year's loss
NZ - The Ministry of Agriculture says most dairy farmers are coming under increasing financial pressure as they head for another loss this season.MAF's regional policy manager in Hamilton, Phil Journeaux, says three quarters of Waikato and Bay of Plenty dairy farmers have already had four consecutive years of losses; ranging from $6,000 - $30,000 a year - and that is not sustainable.
He says most dairy farmers have to rely on off-farm income to cover their losses.
