Mr Martin Treadway, the regional manager for SAE Afkim, the world’s third largest dairy equipment manufacturer, said it was vital for Zimbabwe to establish bilateral agreements with Israeli manufacturers of dairy equipment if it was to revive its dairy industry.

SAE Afkim has already entered into bilateral relationships with other Southern African countries, notably Angola, Zambia and South Africa.

Through its agencies in these countries, the company has also managed to do business in surrounding countries in the region including Zimbabwe.

Apart from Southern Africa, SAE has various dealerships with countries in Europe and South America.

"We are experts in the production of dairy equipment and providing information on the effective dairy management systems.

"In that regard, Zimbabwe can also immensely benefit if areas of co-operation are to be established," said Mr Treadway while addressing Zimbabwean journalists who were on a week-long intensive exposure to Israeli agriculture.

"The dairy industry needs effective management system and we really look forward to start working with Zimbabwe in that area."
