Finding true cost of pre-movement testing
UK - The NFU is asking farmers for information that will help it determine the true cost of pre-movement testing (PrMT).

It is also asking for the ages of all reactor cattle from all TB tests, including routine tests, in the past 24 months in order to gain a better understanding of how age influences disease susceptibility.
A questionnaire has been posted on the NFU’s website for its members. Details of how non-members can obtain copies are provided on the website.
The information will be analysed and the NFU is hoping to use the responses to back its stance on PrMT in discussions with Defra.
