NCBA voices concern over lifting cattle ban

The National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA) has refused to support lifting a U.S. ban on Canadian live cattle imports unless steps are taken to ensure that the domestic cattle market is not disrupted.
IOWA - In comments sent to the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), NCBA President Jan Lyons said live cattle trade with Canada should only be re-established when science and risk-analysis tools are used to produce equitable policies that ensure beef safety.
