Government spending will drive improvements in a range of technological improvements nationally, with Agricultural Bank credit lines for the construction of new milk processing facilities.

Speaking at the first Milk Food Festival, Mr Estevez delivered this message, explaining the aim of current agricultural policy is to revive dairy output in La Altagracia province and across the country.

He said US and several European buyers are interested in Dominican Republic products.

This depends on the health status of milk, he explained, adding that improved sanitary condition would improve dairy prospects.

A traceability programme in La Altagracia will lead developments.
