UK Exporting More Butter

UK – A rise in the amount of butter exported from the UK has improved the current trade balance, which remains negative.

UK butter imports were down 12 per cent on the year at 17,000 tonnes, according to market analysts at research and development board DairyCo.

This was met by a 21 per cent increase in butter exports, up 1,400 tonnes, attributed largely to strong buying from France and Belgium between January and April.
