A boost in product listings has been reported as retailers anticipate greater footfall during the ‘Grand Depart’ stage of the Tour de France in Yorkshire in July.

Particular interest has been shown in First Milk’s new range of high protein smoothies and porridges.
According to First Milk marketing director David Young, a new range of products will go on shelves of nearly 500 Tesco stores nationally.

Mr Young added: "With over 3 million cycling fans expected to line the roads in the UK between 5-7 July, we have also secured a great sales opportunity, via listings in 80 Tesco Express stores located along the route of the Yorkshire stages of Le Tour. Other retailers will be stocking the range over coming months."
