Daily Dairy Trading: Class III Closes Unchanged Friday

US - Spot prices remain unchanged Friday after heavy losses through the week.

Blocks of Cheddar closed on $1.6375 after a busy day hosted seven trades. This leaves the week's average well under the prior week of $1.7230 per pound after losing over three cents on both Monday and Thursday.

Eight trades for Cheddar Barrels through Friday did not affect spot values which stayed on $1.5975, also adrift from the previous week's average of $1.7445 after losses of 3.75 cents on Monday and four cents on Thursday. 

Also a non-mover, Butter finished Friday on $1.4275, similarly Non-fat Dry Milk closed saw no trade interest, with the last prices on $1.7300 for Grade A and $1.7000 for Extra Grade.

June futures finished with little movement. Class III remained at $18.04 and IV on $18.92.
