Event organiser, the Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers and the British Society of Animal Science are arranging and managing the forums which will be staged in a state of the art glass fronted area located in the Feeds and Forage Zone. Presentations delivered throughout the two days by some of the UK’s leading ruminant nutritionists and technical specialists. Eight subjects will be covered including nutrition for robotically milked cows, feeding to reduce saturated fats in milk and the benefits of red clover silage. Visitors will be encouraged to participate in the sessions using voting keypads.

BSAS’s Mike Steele commented: “We are pleased to be working with RABDF on these exciting new Feed Science Forums. The speakers are experts in their fields and will give really useful advice and simple ‘take home messages’ on highly sophisticated areas that producers and their advisors can use to improve feed efficiency and subsequent farm profitability. It’s also be an opportunity for scientists and farmers to talk so they can work together to solve some of the challenges facing the livestock industry.”
