Farmers Urged To Participate In Dairy Efficiency Programme
IRELAND - Facilitators are available to form and manage discussion groups for dairy farmers under the Dairy Efficiency Programme. The programme encourages best practice in the running of dairy enterprises through participation in discussion groups.

The closing date for participation in the programme is 19 February 2010.
The Minister for Agriculture, Fisheries and Food, Brendan Smith said: "It is clear that considerable efficiencies can be gained by dairy farmers through participation in discussion groups, and I hope that a high number will participate in this programme. Group facilitators will play a key role, and I urge dairy farmers who are interested in joining groups but have not already done so to contact one of the facilitators on the list that is now available. Applications to participate in the programme should be with facilitators by 19 February 2010."
Concluding, the Minister reminded dairy farmers that full details of the Dairy Efficiency Programme, including application forms, are available from Co-operatives/Dairies and on the Department's website, under "Dairy Farming/Dairy Efficiency Programme" (Click here).
