Print This Page Vietnamese Dairy Crisis Needs Intervention
VIET NAM - As the global dairy industry booms, Viet Nam is being left behind - with the high cost of feed and the low retail prices for milk bringing the industry to a halt.Dairy farming is booming all over the world, with record prices for cows, calves and dairy products.
But in Ho Chi Min city, farmers are going bankrupt at such a rate, the government has decided to intervene, reports the Argentine Beef Packers. S.A.
A report is being prepared into the industry, for the governments consideration, on how best to assist the dairy farmers.
