Minister of Agriculture to Answer Brexit Questions at Livestock 2016
UK - Minister of Agriculture George Eustice MP will officially open Livestock Event, the UK industry’s leading show within the sector to be held at The NEC, Birmingham on Wednesday 6 July. He will be responding to queries on the Referendum outcome, whilst the following day, farmers will be able question industry influencers on the EU Vote at an Open Forum with RABDF president, Lord Curry of Kirkharle; NFU president, Meurig Raymond; UKTI Agri-Tech specialist, Clive Blacker and RABDF vice chairman, farmer and cheese producer, Peter Alvis.

Livestock Event will also provide all farmers with an opportunity to think afresh and take home a day’s worth of advice and more, all under one roof in the most easily accessed location, and all without charge. Entry is free to all visitors. The two day event is focused on sharing information, ideas and practical advice to help farmers develop new business resilience, discovering relevant products and concepts that will save money and keep the unit on track, and offering take home practical advice to implement next day on the farm.
In addition to the 340 trade stands, the event will be offering 70 seminars and presentations each day including the Livestock Learning seminars and within the calf rearing, Forage Field and Beef Arena exhibitions, and foot trimming demonstrations. Farmers will also have the opportunity to make better informed buying decisions from the mixer wagon, bedder and chopper working demonstrations,
Visitors will be able to watch the cream of the dairy cattle entered in the National Dairy Show featuring six different breeds along with some of the UK’s highest performance recorded beef cattle in the National Charolais Show and the South Devon Performance Championship. Added to that is the National Lleyn Sheep Competition.
