Dairy Crest have at the same time put a milk price floor in place until at least the end of September.

The company has stated it has made this move to provide its suppliers with some stability over the summer and the price floor will not prevent any possible price increases during that time.

Dairy Crest (DC) have set milk price floors previously, with the last one put in place in March 2015 for four months. Following the end of the milk price floor period in July 2015, DC did not make any further cuts to its Davidstow price until November 2015, despite other cheese manufacturers dropping prices.
