A group of South Yorkshire dairy farmers have successfully applied for a grant worth £161,000 to pool milk, potentially offering 42,000 litres of locally sourced milk for Sheffield weekly.

Work has already begun at the site near Dungworth, only four miles from the centre of Sheffield.

Dairy farmer and project leader Eddie Andrew of Our Cow Molly says the project is all about getting product to consumers directly.
