Southern hemisphere production focused on milk powder through November, rather than butter and cheese, to meet markets.

In its monthly price index release, the FAO stated dairy values averaged a steady 251.4 points, 23 per cent above its level in the same month last year.

Southern hemisphere producers are keeping up with current demand, despite southern hemisphere production, the FAO added.
