Daily Dairy Trading: Cheddar Blocks, Only Mover in Spot Prices, Friday

US – One bid changed Cheddar Blocks up 1.5 cents on Friday to $1.6700, USDA reports confirm.

Recent movement in spot prices leave dairy commodities as follows; Butter traded at $1.5250 on Wednesday and remains unchanged. This represents some price claw back with the average price for the week at $1.5069 above the previous week’s average of $1.4450.

Spot trading was active during the early part of the week; this was the case for Cheddar Blocks which closed the week on $1.6650.

July Class III milk closed up 4 cents after the Thursday break, this left prices on $17.24. Class IV was a non-mover – closing on $19.10.

July Cheese closed on $1.6930 , down from Monday’s values of above £1.7120.
